AIR CADETS LOTTERY FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN

Dear parents and cadets,


The AIR CADETS LOTTERY is back !


What is the “AIR CADETS LOTTERY”?

It is an annual Fundraising Campaign which is essential to carry-on our program.


The main purpose of the campaign is to collect funds to subsidize the annual fees that each squadron has to pay to the Air Cadet League Provincial Committee.


The rest of the collected funds go towards our optional activities program which is key to the success of our Squadron:

· Music Band

· Marksmanship

· Aerospace and VR

· Flying ground school

· Drill team

· Effective speaking

· Cadet Reporters


What is required from each cadet?

Each cadet is required to sell four(4) booklets containing twelve (12)tickets.

This is mandatory for each cadet to take part of this collective effort.


What is required from each parent?

Each cadet must be accompanied by a parent in order to receive the booklets.

The parent must:

1) Sign an acknowledgment receipt and

2) Purchase 4 booklets for a total of $80:

· Cash

· Cheque

· e-transfer to treasurer@338squadron.ca. (We encourage parents to pay in advance in order to facilitate the distribution.)

3) Return the ticket stubs as soon as the booklets are sold. Required by Loto-Québec.


Where and when is the booklet distribution?

Antoine Brossard High School (cafeteria)

Friday December 2, 9, 16: 19:00 – 22:00


Marie-Victorin Community Center

Tuesday December 6: 19:00 - 21:00 (only for e-transfer sent before Dec 6, 16:00)

Sunday December 11: 08:30 - 13:30

Tuesday December 13: 19:00 - 21:00


How will the booklet distribution work?

· A member from the Sponsoring Committee will validate if the booklets were paid electronically. If not, the payment ($80) will be requested on-site (cheque, cash, e-transfer)

· Once the payment is received, four (4) booklets will be handed to the parent who will be asked to sign an acknowledgment receipt.

· We estimate the distribution will take 3-5 minutes per parent. This is why we recommend to send an e-transfer in advance.


E-transfer Information:

· Email: Treasurer@338squadron.ca

· Send an e-mail notification to Treasurer@338squadron.ca with the following information:

o Name of the parent used for the e-transfer

o Name of the cadet(s). (80$/cadet)

o Cadet Level(s)


More information:

· Your child will have the opportunity to sell tickets during the squadron blitz.  More details to come.

· No "top seller" contest given the quantity of tickets.

· It is important to return the sold ticket on a weekly basis

· The deadline to return the ticket’s stub is March 17, 2023

· The draw will be on May 31st, 2023
